 1. Avoid applying medicine when the temperature is too high

  Chemical pesticides are sprayed when the temperature is high and the light is strong around noon. One is that the agent is highly volatile, which can easily cause poisoning of the applicator; the other is that most pests hide in a cool and backlit place, and the spray is not easy to hit the “target”. At the same time, pesticides decompose quickly and have a large loss of volatilization, which makes the insect-proof effect not ideal.Therefore, the correct way is to avoid spraying in high temperature and strong light at noon.

 2.Avoid spraying pesticides when the dew is not dry

    Some farmers are afraid of heat and like to spray medicine in the early morning or in the cool evening.However, at this time, if there is a lot of dew on the plants, the pests have not yet come out to move, and the medicine is not easy to hit the “target”.In addition, when spraying at this time, the liquid will be diluted by dew, resulting in a significant decrease in concentration, and the insecticidal effect is not ideal.Therefore, the correct way is to choose a rainy and cloudy day to spray.If it is a sunny day, you should rush to spray after sunrise or before sunset when there is no dew and pest activity is in full swing.

 3. Avoid unprotected spraying

    Spraying in the high temperature season, some farmers only want to be cool, regardless of safety. They do not wear protective clothing, masks, gloves, or other protective measures when spraying. Sometimes they even take off their coats and “go shirtless”, thinking that there is nothing wrong with a little pesticide on the skin, but they don't know that some pesticides can not only enter the human body through the mouth, nose, digestive tract, and respiratory tract, but also can be absorbed through the human skin, which in turn leads to pesticide poisoning.Therefore, the more high-temperature application, the more attention should be paid to physical protection and try to avoid contact between pesticides and the skin.

 4.Avoid increasing the concentration of the liquid at will

    In order to improve work efficiency or to enhance the prevention and control effect, some farmers often increase the amount of pesticides, reduce the dilution of pesticides, and increase the concentration of the liquid at will, even in the high temperature season of midsummer.Due to the scorching sun and high temperature, water volatilizes quickly. If the concentration of pesticides sprayed is too high, it can easily cause damage to plant leaves.Therefore, when applying medicine in the high temperature season, more attention should be paid to the amount of water to ensure the dilution ratio. The amount of liquid medicine per acre must be more than 45 kg.

 5. Avoid the liquid in the bucket being too full

    When some farmers spray medicine, they like to fill the sprayer bucket with liquid.This is not only detrimental to spraying, but more importantly, if the lid of the sprayer is not tightly closed, when the applicator is walking in the field, the liquid splashes out and stains the body, and the high temperature season can easily cause poisoning.The correct approach is that the upper liquid level of the liquid in the barrel should be below the tick mark when dispensing the medicine, and the sealing ring of the lid must be intact to ensure that the lid is tightly closed.

 6. Avoid drinking alcohol after spraying

    Farmers spray pesticides at high temperatures. Because protective measures are not in place, their bodies will inevitably be contaminated with pesticides.Some have not been cleaned repeatedly after spraying the medicine, put down the medicine box and then sit on the dining table to drink.Due to the acceleration of blood circulation in the human body after drinking alcohol, symptoms of poisoning are more likely to occur.The correct approach is to wash the whole body in time after spraying, and at the same time prohibit drinking alcohol.
