The ”Optimization and upgrading of modern Apple's full-process mechanized production equipment and system research and development Innovation" project promotion meeting was held in Gaomi today. On behalf of the Gaomi Modern Agricultural Development Center, I would like to express my warm congratulations on the convening of the meeting, and express a warm welcome to the leaders and experts who attended the meeting. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Qingdao Agricultural University, which hosted the meeting.

As a characteristic brand crop in Shandong, apple production currently has outstanding problems such as complex agronomy, immature mechanized equipment, and inconsistent management of the whole process, which has become the main bottleneck restricting the efficient production of apples.The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Qingdao Agricultural University integrates the scientific research advantages of the characteristic agricultural machinery R&D team and the apple breeding team. Focusing on apple standardization and traditional cultivation models, it conducts research on the whole process of mechanized production technologies and methods based on the integration of agricultural machinery and agronomy, breaks through a number of key technologies, and cooperates with a number of agricultural machinery companies, computing centers and other scientific research institutes and enterprises to achieve a seamless docking between scientific research and innovation and industrial needs.I believe that through this meeting and the technical guidance of well-known experts on the project, it will accelerate the development of the task of “Modern apple full-process mechanized production equipment optimization and upgrading and system research and development innovation”, a major agricultural application technology innovation project in Shandong Province, which will comprehensively improve Apple's production capacity and scientific and technological level, and will definitely drive the apple industry to achieve high-yield and efficient goals.
